Who books shoot charters
Three groups, mostly: couples doing pre-wedding sessions (a tradition our East Asian guests often plan the whole trip around), creators and influencer teams shooting a season of content in one day, and brands that need clean water-and-deck imagery without renting a studio set that pretends to be a yacht.

The light schedule is the shoot schedule
Golden hour runs roughly 5:00–6:30 pm year-round in Bali — book a sunset charter and you get it at anchor, with the captain positioning the boat so the light falls where the photographer wants it. That last sentence is the entire value of a crewed shoot: your gaffer has an engine.
For morning softness or the Kelingking cliffs in first light, a custom charter with a sunrise departure is the move. Midday works only for in-water and drone shots — plan the deck portraits around it, not through it.

Bring your team or use ours
Your own photographer sails free as one of your 12 guests. Alternatively, add our photographer (edited gallery within 48 hours) or drone videographer to the booking. Own drone? Fine over open water away from airports — your pilot flies it, and the captain will point out the no-go zones.
Outfit changes are solved: proper bathroom, freshwater shower, and mirrors on board. Count 20 minutes per look, because deck logistics are still logistics.
Briefing the charter as a shoot
Tell us at booking that photography is the point — it changes how we plan. The crew keeps decks clear of towels and glasses between takes, holds position during sequences, and knows which anchorages photograph best at which hour. A standard booking with a shot list attached is all it takes.
Frequently asked questions
Can we fly our own drone during the charter?
Yes, over open water and clear of airport zones — your pilot operates it and the captain flags restricted areas. A licensed drone videographer can also be added to the booking.
Is there somewhere to change outfits and do makeup?
Yes — a proper bathroom with mirror and a freshwater shower. Multiple outfit changes are standard on shoot charters; budget about 20 minutes per look.
Does a photographer count toward the guest limit?
Yes — your team members are guests, up to 12 total. Our added photographer or videographer doesn't take one of your guest spots.
What's the best charter for a pre-wedding shoot?
A sunset charter for the golden-hour classics, or a custom sunrise departure if you want cliffs and empty light. Most couples book sunset and are glad they did.
