Why a private charter works better than a public spot
No strangers in the background, no rushing because other people are waiting for the same view, and no risk of someone else's drone shot ruining your photos. A private charter means the boat — and the timing — is entirely yours.
Timing it around sunset
Golden hour does most of the work for you. Book a sunset sail (around 3 hours) and brief the crew on roughly when you want to be anchored and ready — they'll time the route so you're settled in calm water with the light behind you rather than rushing the moment.
Keeping it a surprise
Tell the crew it's a proposal when you book, not on the day. A crew that knows in advance can frame the trip as a normal sunset sail to your partner, position photography or video discreetly if you've added it, and have the ring secured somewhere safe until the right moment.
