How Much Does a Yacht Charter Cost in Bali? (2026 Price Guide)

Yacht charter pricing in Bali varies more than most people expect — not just between operators, but between what's actually included in that headline number. Here's what private charters genuinely cost, broken down by trip type.

What drives the price

Three things move the number: trip length, the route (Nusa Penida runs cost more than a sunset sail near Serangan), and which add-ons you stack on top. Guest count generally doesn't change the price — most private charters are priced per boat, not per person, up to capacity.

Typical pricing by trip type

  • Half-day sunset trip (around Nusa Dua, ~4 hours) — from IDR 15,000,000
  • Sunset sail (~3 hours) — from IDR 15,000,000
  • Full-day Nusa Penida (8 hours) — from IDR 22,000,000
  • Full-day Manta Point with snorkeling (8 hours) — from IDR 24,000,000
  • Fishing charter — price on request, bespoke depending on target species and route
  • Private events, overnight, and custom multi-day charters — price on request, scoped to what you need

What's usually included

A properly quoted charter price should include the captain and crew, fuel, harbour fees, insurance, snorkeling and fishing equipment, fresh fruit, snacks, soft drinks, mineral water, a welcome drink, and towels. If a listed price doesn't mention these, ask before you book — they're sometimes itemized separately to make the headline number look lower.

What typically costs extra

  • Add-ons like a private chef, photographer, drone videographer, jet ski, scuba diving, or event decor
  • Hotel transfer, if you'd rather not arrange your own way to the harbour
  • Meals on the island for full-day Nusa Penida trips (lunch is usually at your own expense)
  • Alcohol beyond what's included, if you want to bring your own champagne or wine

A note on "too good to be true" prices

If a quote looks significantly lower than everything else you're seeing, it's worth asking what's not included — fuel surcharges, harbour fees, or a smaller, older boat are common ways operators hit a lower headline number. A fair price is a complete price.

Frequently asked questions

How much deposit do I need to book a yacht charter in Bali?

A 30% deposit secures your date, with the balance due on the day. We accept major credit cards, Indonesian bank transfer, and PayPal.

Are there hidden costs on top of the charter price?

No. Fuel, harbour fees, captain and crew, insurance, snorkel and fishing gear, snacks, and soft drinks are all included. You only pay extra for optional add-ons like a private chef, photographer, or jet skis.

What is the cancellation policy?

Free cancellation up to 14 days before sailing. If we cancel because of weather, you get a full refund or a free rebooking.

Is a shared tour cheaper than a private charter?

Per person, usually — but for a group of six to ten, a private charter often costs less per head than premium shared tours, and the boat, route, and schedule are entirely yours.
